SOLITUDE was the first band I was in that actually made a proper recording and a not so pretty picture. This was 1988. I wanted to be Nikki Sixx and Mattias loved Yngwie Malmsteen. Judging by our sound I clearly lost that battle. Fifteen year olds trying to grow long hair...

This was 1990 in our rehearsal room. For lack of a better name we called ourselves P.L.O.G. (Prosell.Lars.Olle.Göran).
We recorded 6 songs (with classic titles such as "Tracy" and "Highschool Queen") and played some live shows before Lars left for L.A.

This line-up had such an awful name it must remain a secret. We played songs by Ratt, Van Halen, Kiss, Mötley Crüe etc. in 1991. Me, Göran and Ricky formed, planned and schemed a masterplan. The road to stardom was wide open and in the name of PUMP we recorded 30 songs, bought the right boots, went to Hollywood and split up two days after our majestic arrival.

So we partied a lot.

I also wrote about 70 songs that year. Among them was: "So Long", "Bored Beyond Belief", and "Do You See Me Now" off "Orange Drive...." and "O.D. On Space" off "My Destroyer".

I came home and wanted to play the blues.
Formed Blues R Us with Lars and Göran.
Recorded an excellent demo but we lost it.

DIVINE PACT (1994) had long luscious hair but made a pop demo where both songs are actually good enough to end up on a dP album someday. Peter is singing on the duet "Moving To The City" on "Clowns And Queens". He also designed this website.

Morningwood in 1994 recorded early versions of "Sugar's Gonna Burn" from "Orange Drive..." and "Oh Baby" from "Clowns And Queens". First band where a band member had short hair by his own choice.

CAULFIELD played an early version of "O.D. On Space" and dabbled with "Crazy Hairdo" in 1995-1996. I was in love with Oasis and Weezer and we sounded like the perfect mix between the two of them. Only two hippies left.

In 1997-1998 I discovered The Beach Boys and dove head first into those waters. No one in CAULFIELD got it and hated this new direction I wanted to go in.
I got my first computer and started recording with me playing and harmonising everything myself.
It dawned on me that absolutely nobody wanted to play this kind of cheery/innocent/handclap/non distorted type of music and I desperately wanted to have a band.

I figured if I couldn't be Brian Wilson I'd settle for Tom Petty.

This 1st line-up called doublePark played early versions of "Do You See Me Now" and "The Pain" in 1999.
I was going for Travelling Wilburys meets The Beach Boys. Erik was into Weezer which I was through with so there was a compromise. Down to 1 ponytail now.

The 2nd line-up called doublePark played early versions of "Tell Me You're Joking" "Can't Let You Go" and "California" in 2001.

We recorded the Rolling Stones classic "Angie" that ended up later on a Stones Tribute Collection called "We Love You".

And then came the first doublePark album "Orange Drive To Seer Street" in 2002. This is the original, not manipulated photograph that ended up on the cover. Name the beach and win a t-shirt.

Second album "After Hours" came out 2003. Pictured below is Richard Krantz who played pedal steel, guitar and co-wrote "1-800 Lonely" which Lars sang lead on.

Check him out here.
